Javier Muñoz is a PhD Candidate at the UCLA Department of History. His research focuses on twentieth-century United States history, including social movements, constructions of race, racial capitalism, colonialism, and the African Diaspora. Javier is currently writing his dissertation about the meaning of fascism and Black struggle in the Spanish Civil War (1936–1939).
