You are invited to a memorial service for the late David Montgomery, labor historian and activist, formerly of the Department of History at the University of Pittsburgh.
The event will be held Saturday, February 11, at 3:00 pm, Frick Fine Arts auditorium on Pitt’s Oakland campus. (The location is suitable blasphemy for a local robber baron.) Reception to follow.

Rosemary Feurer is Professor of History at Northern Illinois University. She is the author of Radical Unionism in the Midwest, 1900-1950, among others. She is working on The Illinois Mine Wars, 1860-1940 and a new biography of Mary Harris “Mother” Jones.
