Janine Giordano Drake
Janine Giordano Drake is an Associate Professor of History at Indiana University Bloomington. Her first book was The Gospel of Church: How Mainline Protestants Vilified Christian Socialism and Fractured the Labor Movement (2023). Her current work focuses on popular understandings of social services and the state in the United States, examining how Americans funded education and social services in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
