Marjorie Elizabeth Wood, LAWCHA’s 2012 Gutman Prize Winner, recently wrote an OpEd piece for the New York Times! The piece draws much from her dissertation, entitled, “Emancipating the Child Laborer: Children, Freedom, and the Moral Boundaries of the Market in the United States, 1853-1938.” Her adviser at the University of Chicago was Thomas C.
