Blair Community Center and Museum

The Friends of Blair Mountain are happy to announce that we are building up the Blair Community Center and Museum in preparation for its opening in late July. Below is a list of items that could help us create a community space that will aid our struggle to preserve Blair Mountain and the fight for social, labor and environmental justice in central Appalachia.

This space will house the Friends of Blair Mountain office, a small heritage museum, a craft-shop of local made goods, a Blair Mountain historical archive, and a small library centered on Appalachian studies. The majority of the space will be used for community events and socializing space (hence the need for chairs, couches, coffee tables, etc., — trying to make it a comfortable space for community members to spend time).

If you have any items you would like to donate, we would greatly appreciate it. Please contact us at friendsofblairmountain@gmail.com. Please forward this on to anyone who may be interested in helping out! For more information, see http://www.friendsofblairmountain.org/.
